“Retro” White Rabbit Sweets
If you’re East-Asian, you might remember growing up with these White Rabbit sweets. Or in fact, you might still be eating these sweets.

Well, now it seems that these milky sweets have come under scrutiny and are currently being tested by the Agri-food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) for a chemical it should not contain - Formaldehyde.
This preservative is commonly used for embalming and well, probably is better known as one of Damien Hirst’s tools of his trade.
Hopefully, all’s well that ends well and that they don’t contain the stuff. I wouldn’t like to think that I might have “preserved” anything in my stomach all these years.

Summer Japanese Sweets to Cool You Down
PingMag has a nice article on refreshingly cool wagashi (Japanese sweets).
“Seasonal Japanese sweets” are creative wagashi which express the colors and scents of each individual season. The coming of each new season is celebrated in Japan with special foods, drinks, festivals, and especially sweets.

Tokyo’s Tiny Perfect Burgers
These little burger snacks from Japan are great engineering feats of accuracy, micro-sizing every detail of a full-size burger down into a button-sized snack!

Ok, that description might be a little over the top, but these snacks still look good. They sometimes apparently have “cheese” realistically running down the side of the burger as well.

Beautiful and Refreshing Watermelon Popsicle - Perfect for Summer!
This beautiful, glimmering hot-pink watermelon popsicle looks very tasty and refreshing indeed! It has crunchy chocolate candy seeds and the green apparently tastes like watermelon rind. However, it seems to be only available in Korea and Japan.

Fish-shaped Ice-cream - Red Bean Flavoured
This is unlike the Fish-flavoured ice-cream previously posted, where upon, this is only fish shaped, using wafer material.
I’m not sure whether you’d “see” fish and mentally “taste” fish when eating this, but at least the flavour is a more palatable-sounding red bean flavour.

Chocolate Sushi
Check out this strange combination of Sushi styling but chocolate (and other sweet) tastes. These sushi items are meticulously handmade and use the finest chocolate, delectable flavourings and crisp rice cookies instead of raw fish, vinegar and rice.

For instance, the Apricot Row has a crisp rice cookie under rows of apricot flavoured “gummi-eggs”, wrapped in dark chocolate, and the Berry Maguro has a strawberry flavoured chocolate tuna fillet with a milk chocolate hazelnut centre.
Combinations of sushi can be bought, presented in an array of beautiful, imported Japanese obento boxes, washi paper boxes and trays.

Hello Kitty Bento - deliciously put together
Ahh… Hello Kitty Bento.. regardless of the fact that these are obviously meant to look cute, I can’t help but think that there is Hello Kitty, made vulnerable, and about to be torn apart by hungry kids. In fact, Hello Kitty looks like its about to be engulfed by the surrounding vegetables.
