Excellent photos from the Singapore F1 Grand Prix
Once again, The Big Picture selects another round of amazing photos, this time for the latest Formula 1 Grand Prix that happened on Sunday in Singapore. It was the 800th race and also the first Formula One race to be held at night.

Organisers built, then lined a 5 kilometer track with over 1,600 lamps, said to be four times brighter than those used at football stadiums. Twenty drivers drove 61 laps for a total of 309 kilometers at speeds sometimes approaching 300 kilometers per hour - in a country that once banned the sport, in part for promoting reckless driving.

Flesh Imp’s Singapore Streetwear
The Flesh Imp brand in Singapore is giving Singaporean youth an expressive outlet through style, and in many ways driving a fashion revolution.

While the brand is still young (they just celebrated their 7th anniversary this past December with a collaboration with Adidas), they are making moves, their most recent project being limited edition Coke Zero gear.
Founder Vincent Q has some poignant things to say about the burgeoning Singaporean street culture and hopes to expand Flesh Imp’s influence from the unique mix that is his city.

Paul Smith Ping Pong Table by Singaporean Hunn Wai
Hunn Wai is an up and coming designer from the island of Singapore. He tries to combine and fuse materials and forms in his designs.

The large size of a table tennis table is a huge deterrent for those looking to acquire one, so Hunn combined work and play functions to create a table versatile enough to be used as a ping pong table (albeit, slightly smaller than official size) and a workstation.

Slight decorative touches result from Hunn sourcing his materials from a flea market. The Paul Smith bit in the name is explained by the fact that the inspiration behind the table actually lies behind designer’s prized pair of Paul Smith Bunny sneakers.

New Peugeot GTI Print Ad with Sexy Styling by Singapore Agency
The new ad for the 2007 Peugeot GTI features a sexy couple clearly needing (head) protection due to the speed the car brings. Read into that what you like. But the ad made me smile.

$80,000 Pet Dragon Fish? Gorgeous, but super expensive…
This fish look familiar? Considered a status symbol, you might find it in aquariums in various upmarket East-Asian restaurants, though kept purely as pets, and not for consumption!
I knew they were expensive (hence the status bit), but this 15″ platinum Arowana is considered to be the most expensive aquarium fish in the world although its owner, Singapore-based Dragon Fish breeder Aro Dynasty, claims to have rejected an offer as high as $80,000 dollars!
