Multiple Exposure Photographs of Japan

We really like these composed photographs of Japan by German photographer Stephanie Jung. The first one emphasises how complex the aerial street decor is (wires and lanterns multiplied!) above the serene street, but then things go crazy in the other shots of busy streets! Almost like Kowloon or Ho Chi Minh but with just one exposure…

Photos of Hong Kong in the Rain

Christophe Jacrot shot photos of Hong Kong in the rain. Rain in the city isn’t exactly a rarity, but his photos turn the streets into pastel-like visual poetry.

The Art of Clean Up: Sorting and Stacking Everyday Objects

Swiss artist Ursus Wehrli has a new book on The Art of Clean Up, where he takes everyday scenes of disorder and rearranges them into neat rows. This one of Japanese kanji re-arranged, made us chuckle.

Sleeping in China

More sleeping in China. Public sleeping is apparently socially acceptable and makes for more entertaining viewing in CNNGo’s recent photo gallery. Though perhaps the sight will soon lull us to sleep too.

China – where you can sleep wherever, whenever

Overloaded China Bike Couriers

Photos of bike couriers in Asia, overloaded with goods, aren’t new, but still curious to look at. Photographer Alain Delorme takes it up a notch by manipulating shots of couriers in Shanghai to increase their loads. Makes carrying a ladder on a bike look easy (see last shot).

Divers’ Faces in Shanghai

Last month, China hosted the 14th FINA World Championships at Shanghai’s Oriental Sports Center. Whilst China racked up an impressive total number of gold medals to 10 (topping every single diving event), CNNGo highlight the attention that the competing divers have been getting – in the form of mid-dive photos. See below for a few examples. The tucked in legs remind us of a sleeping hamster on its back for some reason.

Sleeping Salary Men in Japan

It’s an oldie but a goodie. Photos of sleeping salary men on Tokyo‘s streets take a high fashion slant in photographer Pawel Jaszczuk‘s latest series titled… High Fashion!

Pawel-Jaszczuk-Sleeping-Salary-Men-1

No doubt sleeping off their excesses and release of high pressure day jobs, it’s only in Japan where the ordinary office worker can safely sleep it off in public without fear of either theft or distorted-body-ridicule. Except for this guy, who has safely stowed away his man bag.
