It’s bizarre what becomes so popular on the net, but then again, why do I post this here?!

Japanese Scooter Lowriders
The lowrider culture has taken to Japan in the form of customised scooters!
Take a walk down Yasukuni Dori in Tokyo and you might be surprised to see a whole lot of fully equipped, two-tone candy-colored lowriders with plenty of flake, chrome piping, wire wheels and the latest J-pop album bumping on 12-inch speakers.

African Kimono
It’s interesting to see a synergy of two different cultures in whatever form, and Serge Mouange has created a unique proposition with his clothing line, Wafrica.
Serge is a Cameroon-born, Paris-raised, Tokyo-based car designer for Nissan who had the idea of combining authentic African fabrics with the design of Japanese kimono.

The resulting products are part of his new clothing line, Wafrica. He plans on expanding the brand to other products that will be a blend of the two distinct but surprisingly harmonious styles.

Bonsai Speakers
How’s this for combining tech with nature! JVC recently unveiled a beautiful line of bonsai-laden Kirikabu speakers at this year’s Tokyo Designer’s Week.
Created out of eco-friendly plastic (bamboo would look better!), the conceptual series of speakers can be assembled into different shapes, and each contains a small compartment perfect for planting a tiny bonsai tree!

Each mini modular Kirikabu resembles a tree stump with three horizontal stubs - two of them hold speakers, while the third is a terminal. The fully featured speakers come complete with bass-reflex ports and a sub-woofer.

Bamboo Car is the eco-friendly BamGoo
How eco-conscious are you? Electric cars are increasing in popularity but if you want something, well, a little different, perhaps the BamGoo is for you…

Researchers at Kyoto University displayed an electric car made almost entirely out of bamboo. As one of the fastest growing materials available, bamboo helps to make this car super eco-friendly.
The single-seat “BamGoo” weighs about 130 pounds, but can only run about 30 miles on a charge.
I’m not totally “sure” about the design. Well, its not going to keep out the rain in London. But at least there aren’t any panda’s here!
