Japanese illustrator Susumu Uchida creates ultra realistic illustrations of fish. His work doesn’t look realistic in the sense of being mistaken for photography, but has an edge which gives realistic life and vitality to his subjects.

If its car customised and Japanese, I expected to see something highly polished and covered in manga. Instead, this is a well used example. Complete with flag pole and what seems like a spare front hood, tacked onto the bonnet.

How fame has its fickle way on the internet never ceases to amaze me. Here is Magibon, an American You Tube idol who spends her time making YouTube videos of herself staring blankly into the camera, babbling elementary Japanese, and striking cutesy poses.

It seems she’s now becoming wildly popular in Japan after Japanese online publication JCast wrote an article about her and a Japanese broadcasting company called Gyao invited her to be a guest on one of their shows.

I guess if you’re first to market, you can make a name just by staring at the camera..
