Japan Picture Moment : Packaged Octopus

A photo of packaged octopus for sale in a Shibuya supermarket. The superb vibrant colour caught my attention as we were stocking up for the night during our time in Tokyo. Is this sold to be cut up for sushi?

    In answer to your question, yep it’s for sushi.
    A: it’s raw octopus, not frozen or cooked in any way.
    B: you can see a thing of wasabi on the side of the lowest one – definitely sushi/sashimi.

    生食用 = eat it raw.
