Colourful, organic robots by Yoichiro Kawaguchi



These superb looking forms are created by a University of Tokyo research team led by the professor and computer graphic artist Yoichiro Kawaguchi. They are robots designed to imitate primitive life forms.

Kawaguchi Robot 1

Mockups have been put on display at a Confucian temple in Tokyo, and working versions of the robots are scheduled for completion in two years.
