Butt Shaped Moon Cakes by Hong Kong Lifestyle Store Goods of Desire
Yesterday, I went to a lecture at London’s Asia House, on Hong Kong design given by Douglas Young.
Young is the founder of G.O.D. (Goods of Desire), a successful lifestyle store in Hong Kong, selling home accessories, furniture and fashion.
One of the things I saw were these hilarious butt-shaped moon cakes that they sold for the Mid-Autumn festival just passed.

They resemble butts in various forms of undress. I’ve no idea what the thinking is, beyond sheer quirkiness, but these came in four varieties – see below – but buyers weren’t able to know what they got.
Apparently, the full monty was the most popular!
