Japanese Reduced Packaging Design

Some designers lust after Japanese packaging and now PingMag have a great post on how packaging design is moving. Eco is the new buzz word with some good examples of how its being used as a competitive advantage.

In particular, I love this minimalist balloon packaging for tofu – you burst it with a tooth pick to open!

These puddings have been packaged in nature’s own packaging design in the form of eggshells.
