Illustrations of Tokyo
Douglas Haddow launched a film project whilst he was living in Tokyo in 2005. It never ended up seeing the light of day but he got help from animator Jeff Priest, creating conceptual imagery for the project.
The storyline followed a despondent romance between a depressed ramen waitress and an insomniac deliveryman, both of whom worked the late shift in a near-future megalopolis that was subject to ongoing street-level terrorist attacks.
Hopefully, there’ll be a way to get the film made!
