Sorry to burst your bubble, but BJD:s have been a quite popular hobby for many years (a decade at least) - mainly in Asia, but it has sneaked its way into other parts of the world too (for English reference see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball-jointed_doll & http://www.denofangels.com/forums/index.php).

Though I must admit I find the Unoa boy's exchangeable man parts a bit creepy myself and I hear many people find their near-life likeness (at least some moulds) to be quite scary (what is it with people and doll-phobia?).

These are BJD ball-jointed dolls they are fairly popular and only the U-noa version of the artist from Alchemic laboratory the special erect part. They also have a ''O'' face for the girls. Most of the collectors were also surprise by that initiative. They are made with genital so that they look more realistic with clothes on or not.
