Pin-Up, Anime, Graffiti Inspired Illustration by Carlos Ramon
Carlos Ramon, an accomplished Illustrator based in Kansas City, Missouri, has a superb illustration style, which he states is inspired by “Pin up, anime, graffiti, art novau, fashion, “low brow” art, and fine art“.
I particularly like these eastern-flavoured examples from his gallery, with this “ninja printer” and “samurai girls” below.

Delicious Beef Congee!
Whenever I think of congee, I just think of being ill and having only plain congee to eat, kind of like a Chinese equivalent to chicken soup.
It’s obvious I didn’t grow up with congee as deliciously looking as Jaden’s! Check out her latest post, which includes her recipe on this dish.

Chinese School Children Taught in a Cave
Children attend class at the Dongzhong (literally meaning “in cave“) primary school at a Miao village in Ziyun county, southwest China’s Guizhou province, November 14, 2007.
The school is built in a huge, aircraft hanger-sized natural cave, carved out of a mountain over thousands of years by wind, water and seismic shifts.
This looks like an excellent school to do an exchange with a school from the west!
