The World’s Shortest Couple in China
I used to think that Chinese people were short, full stop, but now it seems the average height of a Chinese person is increasing. The British Chinese kids here in the UK seem to be outgrowing us adults!
However, this couple are giving me hope.
Meet Li Tangyong who is 3ft 7 and Chen Guilan who is 2ft 4 - Chinese newly-weds who are vying to get in the record books as the world’s shortest couple!
Li Tangyong of Shunde city, married Chen Guilan this week.
“We had to postpone the marriage for three years because both our families objected”.
At the wedding, they announced they have applied to the Guinness Book of Records and are awaiting confirmation.
