The inspirational true story of Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi is told in this compelling solo performance about the life of the only Nobel Peace Prize winner who is also a political prisoner. Despite being the democratically elected leader of the country, Burma’s military junta have kept Suu Kyi under house arrest for over a decade.

This powerful performance has already been made sell-out appearances at the Edinburgh festival and the Old Vic in London. Regardless of what you know or think about Burmese politics, this show is an unmissable hymn to the power of the human spirit in the quest for freedom.

‘Tells it all – and catches the pain and wry humour inside that tiny frame and strong, wise face.’ The Times

‘A clever, effective script that requires little in the way of prior knowledge of Burma to thoroughly entrance you.’ Metro

‘Rarely is a show so powerful.’ **** The Independent

PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT THIS UNIQUE EVENT ON FRIDAY IN AID OF THE BURMA CAMPAIGN UK.  Entrance is on a pay-what-you-can basis (suggested min. donation £5.00).

Also: PLEASE NOTE THAT SATURDAY 6TH OCTOBER HAS BEEN DESIGNATED AN INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION IN SUPPORT OF A FREE BURMA WORLDWIDE.  Full details of the London demonstration and march at 12 noon on Saturday and other events can be found at www.burmacampaign.org. uk or email demo@burmacampaign.org.uk for up-to-date information.

This event has been organised by the Burma Campaign UK in association with Louise Chantal.  The producers would like to thank all at Soho Theatre, James Seabright and all at Yellow Earth Theatre Company for their support.
