Chinese Shopaholics in Chinese Artist Han Yajuan’s Cute Paintings
Chinese Artist Han Yajuan from Hangzhou, has an exhibition on in Amsterdam called “Selection of Dreams“.
Her paintings depict delightfully cute subjects embroiled in aspects of life such as surfing, shopping and trying on clothes. Check out these shopaholics reveling in their brand label purchases!

Born in 1980, Han Yajuan belongs to a new generation of Chinese artists who have neither a recollection of the social bitterness of the past nor the social burden on the shoulders of artists of earlier generations.
Basically and simply she paints what she likes and presents them on canvases for the viewers. She has but one mission: Freshness.

Advanced Ice Packs and Ice Spray for Caps, Faces, Necks and Armpits : Perfect for Summer
“According to Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, there are an increasing number of teen and preteens who getting hyperthermia (advanced state of heatstroke). The condition occurs when the body absorbs more heat than it can dissipate.”
“Osaka’s Kiribai Chemical Co. has released a series of cooling packs to keep kids and teenagers from melting.”

As East Asia is so much hotter than Europe, they’re usually much better prepared in Summer, with many public enclosed areas controlled by air conditioning. However, it doesn’t mean to say that it can’t get hot in the UK.
These packs look portable enough - forget the outside, if you need to travel in London in Summer, you really need to get these for The Tube.
“Heads can stay chilled thanks to the company’s hat cool pack, which can be affixed to any cap. It lowers body temp by two degrees celsius (about 3°F). There’s also an ice-in-a-can spray that shoots out -10 degree frost onto towels for handy face wiping. Each can contains about 70 squirts! But the best place to ice down? Necks and pits. A 15 degree cool neck wrap keeps arteries from boiling over and helps with circulation. The arm pit packs help reduce body heat in the chest. Kiribai recommends using both together for best results.”
What a great idea. Now to get them to the UK. And into The Tube.

Hong Kong Toy Designer Michael Lau creates Superstar Nike Pro Athlete Toys
Legendary Hong Kong toy designer Michael Lau has created an excellent collection of Nike Pro Athlete characterisations. They stand at 20″ tall and are wearing actual, authentic Nike ‘Pro’ fabrics.

Each character comes with it’s own accessory (Roger Federer holding a tennis racket, Ronaldinho with a football and Kobe Bryant holding a basketball). However, you won’t be able to get your hands on these unless you fancy going to Hong Kong where they’re being auctioned for charity.

Nice-looking Japanese Cucumber on Pressed Rice
Take a look at this tasty looking cucumber on pressed rice sandwich which came as part of a bento box lunch from the tea shop in the Japanese owned luxurious boutique store Takashimaya in New York.
Hm - I can either try making one myself, look for one in the UK, or fly to New York…
