Dynamic Exploding Kung Fu Statue Photography



German photographer Martin Klimas has an interesting series of photographs in his portfolio capturing dropped objects such as porcelain statuettes exploding at the point of impact.

The shots depict a moment in the process of explosion where a “new structure” exists for an instant. You might recognise a few of these figures. Some of you might own them yourselves, and some of you may be young enough that your parents own them.

Anyhow, take inspiration from the visual dynamics the shattered pieces can add to the figurine poses as in the Kung Fu fighters above, but don’t try this at home!
