Paul Merton in China : excellent new travel documentary series
A new four part travel documentary series called Paul Merton in China will begin on Monday 21st May on Channel Five in the UK. Each 60 minute episode will see the British comedian cast a “wryly observant eye” on China’s new cultural revolution, looking at all aspects of China, including the “ancient and modern, comic and shocking, copycat western and vibrantly oriental”.
Merton is a well-loved national figure and there should be a lot of interest in what promises to be an excellent series. Apparently, the look of the footage may also resemble the boldness of Chris Doyle’s (Director Wong Kar Wai’s cinematographer) work.

Is it repeated?
Thanks,
