Planet B-Boy : Feature-length Documentary on Global Breakdancing

Breakdancing maybe one of those movements which will never go out of fashion as you (well, I at least) can’t fail to admire the physical dexterity of its players. “Planet B-Boy” depicts the global resurgence of breakdancing and includes the story of a Korean son who seeks his father’s approval.

A Japanese dancer is also featured, as are b-boys from Las Vegas and Paris. Transcending barriers, the film serves as a reminder of hip-hop’s influence on different and diverse cultures. I particular like the shots which combine the old and new such as the still below with the b-boy and the geishas.
