Fantastic Mango with Sticky Rice Thai recipe
Mangos are one of my favourite fruits and Real Thai Recipes have a fantastic recipe to make Khao Nieow Ma-muan, a popular mango-based dessert. The recipe pairs the sweet fruit with sweet and salty coconut-milk sticky rice. Make some whilst its still warm out there!

The most impressive Mario 3D cake, ever?
Forgive me for posting like a Mario cake fetishist but this cake does take the biscuit.. Chinese-Malaysian Su-Yin from The Journal of a Girl who Loves To Cook has crafted a phenomenal Mario cake!
The inspiration came when a friend spotted the Super Mario wedding cake and said “Su Yin could do better than that!”. So … she did.

Check out more images below and marvel at Su-Yin’s ability to blend food, art, and geekery into one delicious dessert.

A new piece of theatre launches the first Manchester International Festival and sounds and looks fantastic. With the talents of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett involved (Gorillaz), the production promises a unique juxtaposition of entertainment that combines more than 40 Chinese circus acrobats, vocalists and performing martial artists to create a dazzling spectacle. Chinese Jazz Rap: Tang Ren Ti, Straight outta … Kunming?
If you’d like a slice of mellow Jazz beats with Kunming (a chinese dialect - more Mandarin, than Cantonese) vocals, download and check out these four tunes below.
Twenty-two year old Kunming rapper Hu Xuan - rapping under the name Tang Ren Ti (唐人踢) - wrote, rapped on and produced “Jazz-rap is in the city now“, arguably one of the more interesting albums released in China in 2006.
Hu’s lyrics forego the gangsta rap-influenced trash-talking that is growing in popularity in coastal cities in favor of a jazz-infused and thoughtful diary of modern life in urban China.

Here are 4 MP3s to check out:
Diyin Ceshi (’Bass Check’)
Shanliang De Xin (’Good Heart’)
Guangzhou
Tai Duo De Wenti (Ma Xiaoyu remix)
If you only got time for one, Shanliang de Xin is highly recommended!
