In Phuket : Cool themed hotel rooms for kids
TheCoolhunter.net have posted a note on the recently opened Ramada Resort Karon Beach in Phuket, who have created fun and magical themed rooms just for kids.
There are three different adventure themes such as the Outer Space Room, the Underwater Room and the Castle Room. These kids rooms also feature play-stations, DVD players and 32” TVs. The hotel also has a “Magic Castle” restaurant, which is decorated like a film-set.

Kazuko Hohki (storyteller, performer and many other skills) has a new show in London
Kazuko Hohki has a new site specific piece called Oh Doh (it means “Kings Road” inJapanese), as part of the Sacred Season, at the Chelsea Theatre next week.
Kazuko is a founder member of the pop performance group Frank Chickens which had a independent chart hit with “We Are Ninya“, released 5 albums and toured worldwide. She also has a string of successful, award-winning solo shows.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on a digital accompaniment for her show “My Husband is a Spaceman” and having also seen a number of her performances, can testify that she is definitely one to watch. Her witty observations, and droll but quirky style are perfectly entertaining, and if anything else, her new piece will be something different.
Tues 30 Jan - Fri 2 Feb at 8.00pm sharp (from a secret location on the Kings Road.)
More information on The Chelsea Theatre website

Beautiful, intricate, lasercut Li Xi Red Gift Envelopes
If you’re married (and Chinese) you probably dread the season of red envelopes, where you’re obliged to hand these out with money in them to all your single relatives. So if that’s not bad enough, why not spend some more money on these intricate, lasercut envelopes?
Especially designed for 2007 - the Year of the Pig, the card was inspired by the ancient craft of papercuts, an original art form created in China.
Who knows - perhaps you might get away with less money in them if your relatives are impressed with the card? (Not likely!) Chinese New Year celebrations in the UK start on February 18th.
Li Xi Gift Envelopes start at $6.50 for one envelope

Stunning Beijing airport, to be completed this year, by Fosters & Partners
Beijing Airport is scheduled to be completed this year in time for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Designed by Fosters & Partners, it’s supposed to be the largest and most advanced airport in the world, with a floor space of over a million square meters with an estimated 43 million passengers a year to pass through its doors.
It looks simply stunning with “its soaring aerodynamic roof and dragon-like form” which “evoke traditional Chinese colours and symbols“. Now another reason to visit China! (Well, not yet.)
